3 a.m. prayer:
Most gracious heavenly Father,
Continuing in Proverbs, comparisons of right and wrong. WELL, THAT’S JUST THE WAY I AM! “The merciful man does himself good, but the cruel man does himself harm” (Proverbs 11:17). Not all, but many health issues are the direct result of a person’s disposition. (The kind person has more of an advantage in avoiding indigestion, paralysis and loss of sensation caused by blood clots or brain hemorrhage, gastrointestinal and heart trouble, which is, in many cases, brought on by himself/herself. A cruel disposition takes it’s toll on the body; such temperament causes trouble to his/her own flesh.) See Ecclesiastes 5:18-20: (Be satisfied with what the Lord has given you. Life is very brief; why not enjoy it while you can?. Do not brood over the shortness of life, or it’s tragedies and iniquities; instead, be filled with the joy of present circumstances.) Having a good disposition is good for a person’s soul. *****
//Standing Prayer: Always remembering our country, for restoration, our continued peace, and freedom; we ask that You grant wisdom and guidance to those who are in authority, and we pray; and for the protection of our men and women who are on the battlefield, we pray. Lord, heal our land, we pray. There are people in other parts of the world who need protection and relief as they are surrounded by war and poverty; also in need of rescue are Christians who are being persecuted, and we pray.
And so we begin, “Just for Today”: For anyone who has to approach someone about a touchy subject, we pray.
